Following our students’ success at the Washington 60 Design Challenge in July, three of our Year 9 students attended a winners' experience day at Newcastle University and the Farrell Centre. They completed drawing and design tasks, which are taught to first year architecture degree students, followed by a tour of the city centre campus. They also visited The OME, a space for experimental architectural products and techniques, including a toilet which uses waste to heat a house!
